At first, it can seem surreal; on closer inspection, it becomes evident that they are stood up on what look like a surfboard and are propelling themselves across the water by means of a paddle.

Our stand-up paddleboarding excursion in Taormina begins in the bay of Giardini Naxos, considered one of the most beautiful in Sicily. Once on the board, we’ll ride the waves and reach our first destination, a heart-shaped cave, better known as the Lovers’ Cave. We’ll then continue to our second destination: the unmissable Capo Taormina, a place of enchanting beauty, where we can enjoy a refreshing dip in the water.
We’ll then head back: but enjoying every moment in total relaxation! Our excursion will conclude with our return to the starting point, in Giardini Naxos.
The sea off the coast of Taormina is usually very calm and characterized by wonderful, warm blue waters, making it the ideal place for a new experience like this. The stand-up paddleboard excursion in Taormina lasts approximately 2 hours. You can choose between two options: you can request the company of a specialized instructor or book a SUP rental without an instructor. This second option is ideal for those with some experience with SUP, but if you’re completely inexperienced, don’t worry: using the boards is very simple and suitable for everyone, and after a short practical lesson, you’ll be ready to hit the water.
